At Les Olson IT, we often talk about “partnerships.” Usually, that conversation revolves around managed IT services, cybersecurity, or optimizing office workflow. But for us, the most important partnerships we build are the ones that happen outside the office walls, right here in the communities where we live and work.
As a company with deep roots in Utah and Nevada, we believe that doing business means doing good. In 2025, we are proud to continue our legacy of service by teaming up with incredible organizations that provide hope, health, and support to our neighbors.
Here is a look at where our hearts (and hands) have been this year:
Supporting Our Defenders: Treats for Troops
Freedom isn’t free, and the sacrifices made by our military personnel are never taken for granted. This year, we were honored to participate in Treats for Troops.
It’s a small gesture with a big impact. By collecting and sending care packages to deployed service members, we aim to bring a piece of home to those serving far from home. It is our way of saying “thank you” to the brave men and women who protect our freedoms every day.
Fighting Hunger: Utah Food Bank & Three Square Food Bank
Hunger is a quiet crisis that affects too many families in our region. In 2025, we continued our aggressive support of food insecurity initiatives through the Utah Food Bank and Las Vegas’s Three Square Food Bank.
Whether it was through our annual Summer Business Food & Fund Drive or volunteering time at mobile pantries, our team stepped up to ensure that tables across the Mountain West weren’t empty. We believe that no child or family should have to worry about where their next meal is coming from, and we are proud to support the logistical experts who are making “zero hunger” a goal worth fighting for.
Miracles in the Making: Primary Children’s Hospital
There are few places more inspiring than Primary Children’s Hospital. The level of care and compassion they provide to children with complex medical needs is nothing short of miraculous.
Our involvement this year, including our continued sponsorship of the KSL Weather Calendar, goes directly toward ensuring that Primary Children’s has the resources it needs to treat every child, regardless of a family’s ability to pay. Seeing the resilience of these young patients reminds us exactly why we do what we do.
Champions of Inclusion: Special Olympics
Sports have a unique power to bring people together, and no organization proves this better than the Special Olympics. We are thrilled to continue supporting these athletes and celebrating their courage, determination, and joy.
Through our sponsorship of events like the Utah Open Pro-Am, we help provide year-round sports training and athletic competitions for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. It is about more than just a game; it is about fostering a community of inclusion and acceptance where every athlete is given a chance to shine.
Revitalizing Neighborhoods: Paint Your Heart Out
Sometimes, being a good neighbor means rolling up your sleeves and picking up a paintbrush. Our participation in Paint Your Heart Out allowed us to get hands-on in revitalizing our local neighborhoods.
This program focuses on painting the homes of low-income seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities. It was incredible to see our team swap their keyboards for paint rollers, working together to brighten up homes and restore pride in our shared spaces. It’s amazing what a fresh coat of paint—and a lot of heart—can do.
2025: A Year of Impact
Next year marks a monumental milestone for us: Les Olson IT will be celebrating 70 years in business!
Since Les and Reva Olson opened their doors in 1956, the technology landscape has changed dramatically from typewriters and copiers to cloud computing and cybersecurity. But one thing remains constant: our definition of “service.” For seven decades, we have believed that a successful business is built on strong relationships and a healthy community.
Reaching our 70th anniversary isn’t just a testament to our adaptability; it is a tribute to the community that has supported us every step of the way. Giving back through organizations like Treats for Troops, Primary Children’s Hospital, and the Food Bank is our way of honoring that legacy. As we look toward the next 70 years, we promise to keep putting people first and supporting the neighbors who have supported us for generations.
Have a safe and healthy New Year!
